The Council's Emergency Planning Team work with other local services to identify potential risks within the Borough and prepare plans to ensure that we can provide an effective and coordinated response to protect residents and businesses in the event of an emergency such as a major fire, flood, accident or hazardous incident.
We organise training, emergency exercises and seminars to ensure that our staff and staff within our partner agencies are up-to-date with current emergency plans and ready to respond.
We also ensure that our services have robust Business Continuity plans to ensure that we can continue to provide essential services during an emergency and we encourage local businesses to make similar plans.
